Research
I approached this project by first reviewing the current website and its usability. Making a list of the positive and negative aspects of the website, I found that although it is representative of the company’s branding, its homepage alone consisted of a long endless scroll, there was a weak call to action, and the navigation bar could be more user-friendly.
Low/Mid Fidelity Wireframes
Using inspiration from other similar websites and their current website, I created multiple low-fidelity wireframes for both mobile and desktop. We discussed the main components they wanted to use to keep users engaged while not being too overwhelming. We decided on going with a navigation bar that spanned across the top of the page and organized it in order of what the company thought was most important.
Their main goal was to increase membership sign-ups so at the top of the page there is a carousel of call to action pages to encourage visitors to explore the new items as well as subscribe for monthly snack curations. Following that, there is a brief introduction to the company and some popular product suggestions. The second half of the homepage consists of social media images to further increase engagement on the company’s other platforms.
Final Designs
After communicating with the team, I was able to make minor adjustments and create a final prototype for the development.
The prototype was created using Figma and can be viewed below.
